Job summary

Amber Electrical seeks a Journeyman Service Electrician in Texas to maintain, oversee and work with a crew of apprentices and installers. You will report to a Project Manager and contribute to installations, alterations and repairs of electrical systems.

Responsibilities include training employees, testing and diagnosing systems, documenting results, and enforcing safety standards. Physical demands include climbing ladders, bending, crawling, and lifting up to 50 pounds in diverse environments.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain, oversee and collaborate with apprentices and installers on job sites.

Job Summary

The role of the Journeyman Service Electrician is to maintain, oversee and work alongside crew of electrical apprentices and installers. A Journeyman will work under the guidance of a Project Manager and contribute to several job specific activities including employee training: installations, alternations, and repair of electrical systems.

Functions

• Test electrical systems using tools that include voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and ohmmeters to determine where issues may be occurring, the safety of the system and to ensure compatibility
• Participate in weekly safety meetings
• Enters employee’s weekly time into Foundation Mobile on a timely manner
• Document actions, testing results, observations, final diagnosis of the situation and steps taken to resolve issues for each job or situation
• Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.

Requirements

• Possess valid driver’s License

• Acceptable Motor Vehicle record
• Current State Issued Journeyman Electrician’s License
• Must be able to pass drug and background check
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in the commercial field
• Exceptional understanding of the electrical industry
• Knowledge of electrical calculations
