Job summary

Brown & Brown, Inc. in Ft. Lauderdale, FL seeks a Commercial Lines Assistant to support the Commercial Account Manager, Commercial Producers and Commercial Lines Marketing Representatives in servicing new and existing accounts to achieve agency sales goals and service standards.

You will handle client requests for information, endorsements and other services, assist in analyzing insurance exposures and recommending coverages based on client needs, and review carrier materials for accuracy.

Qualifications

• Two years of insurance experience.
• Licenses 440 or 220 preferred within 1 year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Develop working knowledge of Commercial Lines procedures.
• Handle client requests for information, endorsements and other services.
• Assist in analyzing insurance exposures and account summaries.
• Recommend coverages or changes based on client needs.
• Be proficient in carrier rating systems used by the agency.
• Understand company underwriting philosophies and appetites.
• Review policies, endorsements and quotations for accuracy.
• Assist in compiling and preparing marketing and underwriting data (loss runs, MVRs, mods, FCCPCP credits).
• Issuance of binders, certificates, automobile IDs, invoices and similar items.
