Job summary

Brown & Brown in Ft. Lauderdale, FL is seeking a Commercial Lines Assistant to support the Commercial Account Manager and team in servicing new and existing accounts, preparing endorsements, and handling client requests.

The role emphasizes knowledge of commercial lines procedures, carrier rating systems, and underwriting philosophies, with licenses pursued within a year.

Qualifications

• At least two years of insurance experience.
• Completion and/or evidence of skills as outlined by Commercial Management.
• High School Degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop a full working knowledge of Commercial Lines procedures.
• Handle client requests for information, endorsements, cancellations and other services.
• Assist in analyzing insurance exposures and account summaries.
• Assist in recommending coverages or changes based on client needs.
• Be proficient in carrier rating systems used by the agency.
• Develop knowledge of company underwriting philosophies and appetites.
• Review policies, endorsements, audits and quotations for accuracy.
• Assist in compiling marketing and underwriting data (e.g., loss runs, MVRs, mods, FCCPCP credits).
• Issue binders, certificates, auto ID cards, invoices and similar items.

Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Assistant to join our growing team in Ft. Lauderdale, FL !

The Commercial Lines Assistant is to work closely with the Commercial Account Manager, Commercial Producers and Commercial Lines Marketing Representatives to service new and existing accounts to achieve Agency sales goals and service standards.

How You Will Contribute:

• Develop a full working knowledge of Commercial Lines procedures.
• Handle client requests for information, endorsements, cancellations and other services as required.
• Assist in analyzing insurance exposures and account summaries.
• Assist in recommending coverage's or coverage changes based upon client needs.
• Be proficient in available carrier rating systems where provided for Agency use.
• Develop a good working knowledge of company underwriting philosophies and appetites.
• Review policies, endorsements, audits and quotations prepared by our carriers for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in the compilation and preparation of marketing and underwriting data, including but not limited to: loss runs, Motor Vehicle Reports, experience modifications and FCCPCP credits.
• Issuance of binders, certificates, automobile identification cards, invoices and similar items.

Licenses & Certifications:

• 440 or 220 License within 1 year of employment. (preferred)

Skills & Experience to be Successful:

• At least two years of insurance experience.
• Completion and or evidence of skills as outlined by Commercial Management.
• High School Degree.
