MarshBerry is seeking a Placement Specialist, Commercial for our Richmond, Virginia office. The role focuses on marketing, quoting, and binding new business, and building strong relationships with members and carriers.

This hybrid position requires onsite work Monday-Thursday with remote options on Fridays. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in commercial lines, a valid P&C license, and proficiency with CRM systems and underwriting concepts.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial lines insurance.
• P&C license required; designations a plus.
• Proficient with CRM, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Applied Epic a plus.
• Strong knowledge of insurance coverages and carrier appetites.

Responsabilidades

• Market new and renewal business based on risk profile and location; prepare carrier proposals.
• Build and maintain relationships with members and carriers; liaise between members and underwriters.
• Proactively develop relationships with members; capitalize on cross-sell opportunities with sales leadership.
• Maintain knowledge of underwriting basics, regulations, and carrier appetites; educate agents and insureds.
• Maintain suspense system to follow up on quotes, correspondence, and items to bind policies.
