Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an agent specializing in property casualty insurance sales.
• Property Casualty (P&C) license required.
• Life and Health Insurance license required.
• CIC certificate preferred.
• Experience in an independent agency preferred.
• Demonstrated entrepreneurial approach to growing business.
• Demonstrated experience maintaining existing business relationships.
• Must be able to maintain appointments with various external insurance carriers.
• Must be bondable.

• Creates proposals and recommends appropriate insurance products based on insured's needs.
• Sells all lines of new business insurance policies to membership and prospects.
• Develops relationships with outside sources to drive business to the agency.
• Partners with GreenState Credit Union divisions to drive capture rate and share of wallet.
• Makes location visits and attends events, leading department volunteer efforts.
• Assesses needs based on financial information during reviews.
• Maintains and services personal book of business and client relationships.
• Attends outside marketing events to find leads and business development.
• Works with carrier partners and stays updated on changes.
• Attends required continuing education and company meetings.
• Adheres to policies, procedures and ethics codes.
• Participates in community service and credit union events annually.
• Develops understanding of agency management systems and underwriting guidelines.
• Tracks insured relationship history in CRM systems.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
