Job summary

Insurance Office of America is hiring an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to oversee a book of business, drive retention, and support new growth. The role requires strong customer service skills, P&C licensing, and the ability to coordinate service delivery across teams.

You will manage renewals, negotiate coverages, and ensure accurate policy administration while upholding IOA’s standards and values in a hybrid work model with some in-office presence.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Active property & casualty (P&C) license.
• Professional designation (CIC or equivalent) preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities.
• Resolve complex issues and ensure data accuracy in systems.
• Maintain policy expirations and renewals.
• Lead renewal submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Communicate workload status and issues to the account team.
• Deliver proactive service and uphold SOPs and company policies.
• Champion IOA values with integrity and leadership.
