Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an on-site Commercial HVAC Technician responsible for installation, commissioning, diagnosis, repair and startup of HVAC systems at customer facilities. You will analyze layouts, interpret drawings, and coordinate with other trades to meet project timelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; preferably 2–5 years in Commercial HVAC installation.
• Technical School or formal training is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and handheld devices.
• State Contractor Licenses a plus (HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, etc.).
• Must have a valid driver’s license for at least 12 months and clean driving record.
• Willingness to work overtime/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, diagnose, repair, and start up HVAC systems on site.
• Plan, analyze, and complete projects in a timely manner.
• Interpret plans and diagrams to mount and install equipment.
• Ensure adherence to contracting processes and safety standards.
• Conduct site surveys and coordinate with other trades.
• Maintain equipment, tools, and paperwork for each job.
• Provide customer training and follow-up support.
• Generate and submit required reports and time logs.
• Provide technical support to customers on assigned projects.
• Travel to customer sites with possible overnight stays.
