Clear Destination Inc. in West Hartford, CT is seeking a Commercial HVAC Technician to install, maintain and repair commercial/industrial HVAC systems.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, capable of diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults, and able to provide on-the-job training and technical direction as needed. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, a valid CT State HVAC license (D-1, D-2, S-1, S-2), 1+ year of experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent.
• Hold a current State of CT HVAC license i.e.: D-1, D-2, S-1, S-2
• 1+ year experience as an HVAC technician, and willingness to continue education in HVAC field
• Valid driver's license
• Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating
• Working knowledge of boiler systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in reading schematics and work plans
• Ability to work on a bi-weekly 'on-call' cycle
• Ability to easily lift up-to 50 pounds and be able to carry and maneuver heavier items, either with help or appropriate devices

Responsibilities

• Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment
• Identifying maintenance risks on equipment
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems
• Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services
• Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
• Providing technical direction and on-the-job training
• Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions
• Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements
• Assisting with customers' queries
