Job summary

EMCOR Group is seeking an HVAC Service Technician in the Las Vegas area to perform operations, repairs, replacements and preventive maintenance on commercial/industrial systems. The role requires experience with chillers, boilers, air handlers, FCUs, and related equipment, plus a Universal CFC certification.

Candidates must have strong communication skills, follow instructions with limited supervision, hold a valid driver’s license, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs while adhering to PPE and

• Universal CFC certification is required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate, repair, replace and perform preventive maintenance on commercial and industrial air conditioning and heating systems.
• Work with chillers, boilers, air handlers, fan coil units, water treatment equipment, controls and related building mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Familiar with kitchen and refrigeration equipment and all refrigerants.
• Coordinate with the Dispatch Team to complete workload in a timely manner.
• Maintain safe work practices in line with OSHA Health & Safety and NFPA 70e standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for the operations, repairs, replacement and preventative maintenance of commercial and industrial air conditioning and heating systems.
• Must have working knowledge of chillers, boilers, air handlers, fan coil units, water treatment equipment, controls and other building mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Technicians will be familiar with kitchen and refrigeration equipment and all refrigerants.
• Work with the Dispatch Team to ensure that the workload is accomplished in a complete and timely manner.
• The individual must maintain safe work practices in support of the OSHA Health & Safety and NFPA 70e standards as it applies when performing the assigned duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5 years of experience in maintaining similar type and size commercial equipment, along with a current Universal CFC certification
• Strong oral and written communication required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and perform duties with minimal supervision in isolated areas.
• Knowledge and experience in the proper use and safe operation of hand tools, equipment, and testing devices necessary to perform all work assignments.
• Valid Driver’s license and able to maintain a good driving record.
• Ability to stand, sit or squat for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift, move and carry material up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work at extended heights.
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). i.e., but not limited to, Dust mask, gloves, eye protection and hearing protection.
