Job summary

EMCOR Services Mesa Energy in Las Vegas is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to maintain and repair central plant equipment, including large chillers, pumps, and cooling towers. You will perform testing, start-ups, and commissioning, and coordinate maintenance schedules across site operations.

The role requires 5 years journeyman-level experience, technical schooling, EPA certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Journeyman-level HVAC experience with technical schooling.
• Commercial/industrial air conditioning experience required.
• Knowledge of chillers, HVAC, and central plants.
• HVAC large tonnage field knowledge required.
• EPA certification.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair central plant equipment including chillers 100 tons and larger.
• Overhaul centrifugal chillers is a plus.
• Support the office with repairs from delivery to completion.
• On-call emergency service calls.
• End-to-end testing, programming, start-ups, and commissioning.
• Schedule and manage site-wide maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair duties.
• Perform daily and monthly preventative maintenance on chillers, cooling towers, and central plant equipment.
• Maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting on-site equipment.
• Attend monthly safety meetings.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with Chiller Field Supervisor on opportunities or issues.
