Job summary

Crete United’s Mechanical Systems and Service division is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC technician to troubleshoot, maintain, repair and install HVAC systems in the Dallas metro area. The technician must have 3+ years of service experience and EPA 608 certification.

This on-site role covers Dallas and surrounding counties with opportunities to develop technical skills and serve a strong customer base.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC maintenance experience required.
• EPA Universal certification required.
• Ability to troubleshoot HVAC components in large systems and packaged units.
• Read electronic schematics and blueprints for installation and service.
• HS diploma or GED plus equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs to pump seals, bearings, and related components.
• Inspect and test systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications.
• Identify customer concerns with HVAC and boiler systems.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Document faults, time, and materials on work orders.
• Adjust system controls per manufacturer recommendations to balance the system.
• Develop or perform maintenance procedures like cleaning, lubrication, and filter changes.
• Install components such as valves, ducts, pipes, and dampers following blueprints.
• Study design specifications to ensure proper installation of components.
• Fabricate or install duct work and chassis parts using portable tools or welding equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Mechanical Systems and Service (MSS) is a Crete United company in West Monroe, LA. MSS is a specialty contractor in heating ventilating and air conditioning. It is a great time to join us as we continue to expand throughout the state and beyond.

Our team is looking to hire a Commercial HVAC technician to troubleshoot, maintain, repair and install HVAC systems. Technician must have 3 years of HVAC Technician Service experience as well as an EPA 608 certification. This position will cover the Dallas Metro and surrounding counties!

What You'll Do:

• Perform routine repairs to pump seals, bearing, etc.
• Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions.
• Determine customer concerns with HVAC and boiler systems.
• Follow standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
• Record and report faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended on work orders.
• Adjust system controls to setting recommended by manufacturer to balance system.
• Recommend, develop, or perform maintenance procedures such as cleaning, power-washing, or vacuuming equipment, lubricate parts, or changing filters.
• Install auxiliary components to heating-cooling equipment, such as expansion and discharge valves, air ducts, pipes, blowers, dampers, flues, and stokers, following blueprints
• Study blueprints, design specifications, and manufacturers' recommendations to ascertain the configuration of heating or cooling equipment components and to ensure the proper installation of components
• Fabricate, assemble, or install duct work or chassis parts, using portable metal-working tools or welding equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC maintenance experience
• Universally EPA Certified
• Ability to troubleshoot HVAC components with built up systems and package units, which may include chiller air handler pump towers, cooling towers, control systems, boilers and air handling systems
• Ability to learn commercial expertise in boilers, chillers, pneumatic controls, digital controls and packaged HVAC equipment
• Ability to read electronic schematics
• High School diploma/GED required + equivalent work experience
