Job summary

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking HVAC Service Technicians for commercial facilities in Charlotte, NC. This direct hire role offers full benefits and a pay rate of $35-$45+ per hour based on experience.

You will service and maintain a diverse commercial base, troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems up to 100 tons, and perform preventive maintenance with careful adherence to blueprints, specifications, and customer requests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 5 years of commercial HVAC service experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment up to 100 tons.
• Proficiency with operating and working handheld computers (smartphone, iPad).
• EPA Certification preferred.

• Provide service and maintenance to customers in a defined market with a diverse commercial base.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and startup HVAC systems from 20 to 100 tons for Trane and other brands.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, site surveys, and service requests including replacements or modifications as needed.
• Use handheld devices and tools to diagnose and repair units, and assist with proposed retrofits or upgrades.

Seeking HVAC Service Technicians experienced with commercial facilities for a direct hire opportunity with our client, a top-tier mechanical construction and service provider, in Charlotte, NC

This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental and 401k!

Payrate for this role is between $35-$45+ per hour (based on experience)

Responsibilities for Commercial HVAC Technician:

• Provide serviceand maintenance to customers in a defined market with a diverse commercial base
• Troubleshooting, repairing, and starting up HVAC systems from 20 to 100 tons units for Trane and other brands
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, site surveys, and service requests including replacement, and modifications of equipment or systems as needed or requested by customers.
• Uses cutting edge software and technology, along with a variety of hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units, as well as proposedretrofits, upgrades and or enhancements to existing systems.

Qualifications for HVAC Technician:

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years of experience in Commercial HVAC service; or equivalent combination of education (Technical School) and experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment up to 100 tons.
• Must have proficiency with operating and working handheld computers (i.e. Smartphone, iPad).
• EPA Certification Preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, and kneeling.
• It requires employees to regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and or move more than 50 pounds.
• Employees must be able to climb ladders.
• This position requires working in diverse conditions including, but not limited to, mechanical equipment rooms with exposure to noisy operating equipment, exposure to extreme weather conditions, precarious places, and risk of electrical shock (high voltage).
