Job summary

RadNet, Inc. in Wilmington, NC seeks a Commercial HVAC Service Technician to install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems in commercial facilities and to diagnose and fix issues efficiently.

The role requires EPA 608, 3+ years of commercial HVAC experience, and a valid driver’s license. You will perform preventive maintenance, work with BAS controls, read schematics, and provide detailed service reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certification preferred.
• EPA Section 608 Certification required.
• 3+ years of commercial HVAC experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Proficient in troubleshooting HVAC components (compressors, motors, fans, thermostats).
• Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, and refrigeration cycles.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on rooftops and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance according to service schedules
• Work with building automation systems (BAS) and controls
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics

• Communicate with clients to explain findings, recommend solutions, and provide estimates
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working condition
• Respond to emergency service requests as needed
