Job summary

EMCOR Services Aircond, based in Columbia, SC, offers a 90-day internship to learn the field of commercial HVAC careers. You will be evaluated at 30/60/90 days and may be hired as a HVAC Technician Class I upon meeting performance expectations.

The Intern Service Technician will install, service, and repair heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems, applying knowledge of HVAC theory and pipefitting while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of computer and tablets.
• Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Strong adaptability skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, repair heating, ventilating, air conditioning systems and related environmental-control systems.
• Utilize knowledge of heating and refrigeration theory, and pipefitting.
• Provide excellent customer service.
