Job summary

EMCOR Group in Macon, GA, is seeking an Entry-Level HVAC Service Technician Intern for a 90-day program aimed at teaching the fundamentals of HVAC careers. Interns will be evaluated regularly, and those meeting performance standards will be hired as HVAC Technician Class I.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Trade/Technical School certification or degree preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair HVAC systems.
• Changing filters and cleaning coils.
• Hook up gauges to the system.
• Provide excellent customer service.

Skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Working knowledge of computer and tablets

Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations

Ability to work well in a team environment

Strong adaptability skills
