Job summary

ESFM, the Facilities Management division of Compass Group USA, is seeking an HVAC Maintenance Technician for our Aurora, CO location. You will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC and related systems, with attention to safety and regulatory requirements.

The role requires an EPA license and a valid driver’s license, with a flexible shift including weekends as needed. You will document work in the CMMS, coordinate with supervisors, and support project management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of Commercial HVAC experience.
• Accredited Journeyman HVAC certification or equivalent HVAC work experience.
• Experience working with blueprints and schematics.
• A general understanding of electro-mechanical equipment.
• Rudimentary ability to utilize hand-operated construction equipment.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds and kneel/bend/stoop and perform strenuous labor for extended periods of time.
• Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Performs a mixed workload consisting of preventative maintenance and non-complex reactive repairs.
• Updates work statuses and documents tasks completed in the CMMS utilizing a mobile device.
• Helps determine manpower, material needs, and deadlines for jobs and projects.
• Cleans, lubricates, services, repairs, and diagnoses malfunction of HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems and related equipment.
• Assists in making decisions on all repairs and reports major problems to the Maintenance Supervisor, Foreman, and Manager as appropriate.
• Constructs, finishes, installs, maintains, and repairs electrical and mechanical systems using tools.
• Reviews outside vendor projects and makes punch lists.
• Analyzes and corrects complex building system problems and electro/mechanical problems related to utilities.
• Supports project management activity as needed.
• Responds to emergency problems in the facility and makes emergency repairs as needed.
• Maintains logs, performs rounds, and completes PM work orders, tests, and inspections.
• Makes recommendations for modification or improvement of preventive maintenance systems.
• Maintains shops and mechanical areas in a clean and safe manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
