Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking Commercial HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanics for a Midland, TX project. True mechanics who can read complex prints, run duct independently, and handle equipment sets with zero supervision are needed. Lodging provided, along with a per diem for food and daily expenses.

Responsibilities include installing diverse ductwork, setting RTUs, reading prints, and adhering to safety standards and codes. A minimum of 5 years’ experience and own tools are required.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in commercial HVAC sheet metal installation.
• Must possess a full set of hand tools and reliable transportation to job sites.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints and manuals for installation sequences.
• Physically capable of demanding workload and working at heights.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving to troubleshoot layout conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Duct Installation: hang and install various types of commercial ductwork (square, round, spiral, rectangular).
• Equipment & Component Setting: place curbs for RTUs, install grills, registers, dampers, and position HVAC equipment.
• Print Reading & Layout: study schematics and manuals to plan installation sequences and field layouts.
• Safety & Quality Control: comply with local mechanical codes, quality standards, and OSHA regulations.
