Job summary

Quality Labor Management (QLM) is seeking Journeyman Commercial Sheet Metal Mechanics for a direct-hire opportunity on a one-year Edinburg project. You will install commercial HVAC ductwork, read blueprints, and coordinate with other trades on a busy site.

Qualified candidates must have journeyman-level experience installing ductwork and HVAC systems, be able to work 10-hour shifts, six days a week, and maintain safety on the job. Out-of-town workers may qualify for per diem.

Qualifications

• Journeyman-level commercial sheet metal experience required.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC ductwork installation.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
• Ability to work 10-hour shifts, 6 days per week.
• Reliable attendance and commitment to jobsite safety.
• Ability to work effectively on a commercial construction project.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial HVAC ductwork and sheet metal systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and construction plans.
• Measure, lay out, fabricate, fit, and install sheet metal components.
• Install ductwork, fittings, and related HVAC components according to project specifications.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal installation equipment.
• Maintain quality workmanship and follow jobsite safety procedures.
• Coordinate with other trades to meet project deadlines.
