Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years as a Commercial HVAC Service Technician or equivalent.
• EPA certification for handling refrigerants (e.g., Universal Certification).
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Advanced knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and controls.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex HVAC issues and implement solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, and repairs commercial HVAC systems including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and packaged systems.
• Performs preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues.
• Inspects HVAC systems to identify deficiencies and improvements.
• Provides repair estimates and communicates with clients to ensure satisfaction.
• Coordinates with building managers and stakeholders to schedule service appointments.
• Keeps accurate records of calls, parts, labor hours, and equipment history.
• Stays current on industry standards, codes, and emerging technologies.
• Adheres to safety protocols and PPE, following OSHA guidelines.
