Job summary

Christman Facility Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician for our Mesquite, Texas region. You will install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and packaged systems.

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, and repairs commercial HVAC systems, including rooftops, chillers, boilers, and packaged systems.
• Performs preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots complex HVAC malfunctions (electrical, mechanical, refrigeration).
• Conducts inspections to identify deficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
• Provides repair estimates and communicates with clients for satisfaction.
• Coordinates service appointments with building managers and stakeholders.
• Keeps accurate records of service calls, parts, labor, and equipment history.
• Stays current on industry standards, codes, and emerging technologies.
• Adheres to safety protocols and PPE, following OSHA guidelines.

What You Will Do:

• Installs, maintains, and repairs commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and packaged systems.
• Performs preventative maintenance tasks on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots complex HVAC system malfunctions, including electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues.
• Conducts thorough inspections of HVAC systems to identify deficiencies, inefficiencies, and potential areas for improvement.
• Provides detailed repair estimates and recommendations to commercial clients, and communicates effectively to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Coordinates with building managers, facility owners, and other stakeholders to schedule service appointments and minimize disruptions to operations.
• Keeps accurate records of all service calls, including parts used, labor hours, and equipment history.
• Stays current on industry standards, codes, regulations, and emerging technologies related to commercial HVAC systems.
• Adheres to safety protocols and best practices at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA guidelines.
• Collaborates with other team members to share knowledge, provide support, and ensure timely completion of projects.

Expected Hours of Work and Travel:

Full time position, occasional extended hours and weekends may apply. Must have reliable transportation. Must be willing to travel at least 60 miles a day dependent on project location relative to where the employee lives. Long distance travel may be required occasionally, including overnight stays depending on the project.

What You Will Bring to the Team:

Required experience, knowledge, and skills for this role include:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Commercial HVAC Service Technician or equivalent position providing similar work experience.

Preferred experience, knowledge, and skills for this role include:

• High School Diploma or GED.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• EPA certification for handling refrigerants (e.g., Universal Certification).
• Advanced knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including controls, refrigeration circuits, and mechanical components.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting complex HVAC issues and implementing effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment and work in various environments, including rooftops and mechanical rooms.
