You will participate in ongoing training, manage a high workload, and maintain professionalism on-site. The role includes on-call nights/weekends as needed and a focus on customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or 4-year HVAC apprenticeship with 1–2 years experience; or HVAC certificate with 6+ years; or equivalent work experience.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Tools and instruments necessary to perform service work.
• Safe work habits and ability to work in a team environment.
• Experience managing service agreements and quotes to margins and standards.
• Ability to pass fit-for-duty evaluations as required.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation as needed.

Responsibilities

SUMMARY

Dynamiq is actively looking for a Commercial HVAC Service Technician with 6+ years of experience to join a great team that delivers exceptional customer service. You will be drawing upon your troubleshooting experience to provide quality dedicated service to our Dynamiq clients while living out our Dynamiq Core Values.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot/repair HVAC equipment ina timelyand qualitymanner.
• Continued technical training (classroom, OJT and personal studies) in order to meet the responsibilities of a technician . This will bemonitoredand discussed during each review for improvement.
• Demonstrate capability of handling a heavy workload of calls.
• Maintaina high levelof professionalism by arrivingatwork on time,maintaininga neat physical appearance and work vehicle in clean workingorder.
• Present a professional,positiveand helpful attitude at all times when interacting with customers andco-workers.
• Organize all workdetails(work performed, service recommendations, purchase order numbers for materialpurchased, etc.) and completean accuratework ticket for billing & payrollpurposes.
• Submitaccurateand complete Start-up Sheetsin a timelymanner.
• Submitaccurateand complete Refrigerant Tracking Logsin a timelymanner.
• Promote new business by reportingleads.
• Exercise effective communication with the customer and co-workers by using the LINC CommunicationModel
• Build rapport and positive working relationships with clients, vendors, and other outsidecontacts.
• Fullyutilizetechnology to enhance performance (email, internet usage,VB Mobile)
• Work with other Technicians by sharing knowledge and experience. This could be ofa technicalnature or specific issues related to the facility.

• Ability to mentor apprentice level technicians
• Service Technician will continue the on-call rotation and will be available nights and weekends on the weeks he pulls on-call. Project Technician will continue to work nights and weekends as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

• Two-Year Technical Degree or 4 – year apprenticeship from accredited HVAC institution with 1 to 2 years of experience, HVAC Certificate from accredited HVAC institution with 6+ years of experience, or equivalent work experience.
• Organization and time management skills.
• Will have available the tools necessary to accomplish the work of a Service Technician.
• Use proper tools and instruments for troubleshooting.
• Extensive knowledgeofsafe work habits.
• Experience with managing agreements and quoted jobs to the margins and standards at which they were sold.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to pass fit-for-duty evaluations asrequiredfor contract requirements.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENT

Industry-specific knowledge gained from working in the field:

• Knowledge/experience using a vacuum pump and micron gauge.
• Knowledge/experienceproperly usinga recovery machine.
• Knowledge/experience using an electronic leak detector.
• Knowledge/experience using a voltmeter, ohmmeter, and ammeter.
• Use proper refrigerant charging techniques including superheat and subcooling.
• Knowledge/experience of measuring and setting gas pressures onvarious typesof natural gas systems.
• Experience understanding airflow standards, measurements, and instruments.
• Show evidence of proper maintenance execution on package units, split systems, air cooled chillers and cooling towers.
• Accomplish all Level of Apprentice and Junior Service Technician responsibilities and duties.
• Possess a technical knowledge and experience level to troubleshoot, repair andmaintainHVAC mechanical systems unsupervised.This includes, but not limited to, roof top package units and split systems, air- and water-cooled chilled water systems (with support), exhaust fans, pumps, and motors.
