Job summary

Midstate Mechanical LLC is seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, service, repair, and maintain large-scale HVAC systems across multiple job sites. You will troubleshoot chillers and cooling towers, interpret wiring diagrams, and perform installations as needed in commercial environments.

You will work independently in the field, communicate clearly with customers, uphold safety standards, and document service work with tablets and service software.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• EPA HVAC certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret equipment wiring diagrams to troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems.
• Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC equipment including chillers and cooling towers.
• Identify equipment issues and recommend repair or replacement solutions.
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding service, repairs, and system performance.
• Measure, size, cut, and install duct insulation as required.
• Fabricate and repair ductwork, copper piping, and composite materials.
• Perform system testing to ensure proper functionality after repairs or installation.
• Maintain clean and organized job sites, including debris removal.
• Repair or replace defective installed work to meet company standards.
• Ensure all work complies with Midstate Mechanical policies and procedures.
• Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.
• Utilize tablets, smartphones, and software for job documentation and communication.
• Adhere to all safety standards and protocols while working in various environments.

About the Role

The Commercial HVAC Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC systems across a variety of job sites. This includes troubleshooting equipment issues, performing repairs, communicating with customers, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

This role requires strong technical expertise in HVAC systems, including chillers and cooling towers, as well as the ability to work independently in the field while representing Midstate Mechanical in a professional manner.

Pay range and compensation package

Starting @ $40.00 to $45.00 per hour (D.O.E. Very competitive pay)

Qualifications

• • Certifications: Valid EPA ; HVAC certification preferred
• • EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
• • REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, troubleshooting, and repair techniques
