KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing seeks an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our Newport News service team. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain medium to large commercial HVAC systems and provide technical guidance to apprentices and journeyman technicians.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing and maintaining commercial HVAC systems.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and HVAC controls troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with medium to large commercial heating and cooling equipment.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Journeyman or Master HVAC License preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to pass required background screening and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment and associated control systems.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, system inspections, and equipment testing.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues.
• Repair or replace defective HVAC components and verify proper system operation.
• Service medium to large commercial heating and cooling systems.
• Provide technical guidance and support to apprentices and journeyman-level technicians.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate job status with dispatch and management.
• Deliver professional customer service and maintain positive client relationships.
• Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
