Job Description

The HVAC Service Technician will work independently or as part of a team to install, start up, troubleshoot, commission, and service commercial HVACR equipment, systems, and units.

Key Responsibilities

1. Analyze work orders, plan daily travel, investigate complaints, conduct tests, and resolve problems for existing accounts.
2. Study system requirements, order and gather components, complete installations, and perform acceptance tests.
3. Examine customer complaints, identify solutions, suggest improvements, and recommend system enhancements.
4. Maintain personal equipment, troubleshoot breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and call for repairs when necessary.
5. Document all service and installation actions through reports, logs, and records.
6. Maintain confidentiality of service information to uphold customer trust.
7. Participate in educational opportunities to stay updated with industry knowledge.
8. Perform other duties as assigned by management, supporting organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in HVAC service work, with a background working in a service vehicle for an HVAC contractor.
• VRF experience is preferred; BAS/DDC controls experience is a plus.
• Owns necessary tools for the job.
• Reliable with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Willing to undergo pre-employment screening, including background checks and drug testing.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
