Job summary

Strategic Service Solutions, LLC is seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, service, and repair commercial heating and cooling systems across the Dallas–Fort Worth area. This is a hands-on role requiring independence, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics.

You will perform preventive maintenance, document work using BuildOps, and communicate clearly with customers and team members while upholding safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• Ability to independently diagnose electrical, refrigeration, airflow, and mechanical issues.
• EPA Section 608 Certification and Texas TDLR registration required.

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC systems.

Commercial HVAC Service Technician

Location: Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, TX

We are looking for an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician who can confidently diagnose, service, and repair commercial heating and cooling equipment. This is not an entry-level position. You should already be comfortable troubleshooting commercial systems independently, particularly split systems, rooftop units, packaged equipment, and related electrical and mechanical components. Experience with chillers, cooling towers, boilers, and pumps is also valuable.

You’ll work throughout the DFW area, complete preventive maintenance and service calls, document your work accurately, and represent Strategic Service Solutions professionally at every customer location.

Key Responsibilities

• Document service notes, refrigerant usage, parts, deficiencies, and completed work accurately
• Use BuildOps for service and job documentation
• Maintain clean, professional, and dependable workmanship
• Communicate clearly with customers, facility personnel, and internal team members
• Follow company and jobsite safety requirements
• Travel throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth service area
• Check in with facility contacts upon arrival and review completed work and identified deficiencies before leaving the site

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience required
• Strong commercial HVAC troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to independently diagnose electrical, refrigeration, airflow, and mechanical issues
• Experience with RTUs, packaged systems, split systems, and self-contained equipment
• Strong electrical troubleshooting ability
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and use electrical and refrigeration diagnostic instruments
• Experience with chillers, cooling towers, boilers, pumps, VFDs, and larger commercial equipment is a plus
• EPA Section 608 Certification required
• Current Texas TDLR Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician Registration or Certified Technician designation required
• Valid driver's license and driving record acceptable under company vehicle insurance requirements
• Ability to successfully complete applicable pre-employment screening requirements, including background and drug screening
• Dependable, professional, and committed to quality workmanship
• BuildOps experience is a plus

Pay & Benefits

• Full-Time. W-2 Employment
• $35.00-$45.00 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated technical ability

Schedule
