Evergreen Talent Partners in Houston, TX is seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician to support our Energy Services Division across Texas. The role focuses on installation, startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing commercial HVAC and building automation systems in the field.

You will diagnose, repair, and verify performance of systems, communicate findings and recommendations to customers, and uphold NFPA 70E safety standards while delivering high-quality, timely service.

Qualifications

• Texas Registered Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician license required.
• EPA Universal 608 Certification required.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic experience with commercial HVAC systems.
• Working knowledge of superheat/subcooling calculations and airflow concepts.

Responsibilities

• Install, startup, commissioning, and troubleshoot HVAC controls and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC systems and components.
• Verify proper operation and performance of newly installed systems.
• Conduct performance testing and system balancing.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to customers and team.

A leading mechanical and energy services organization is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to support our expanding Energy Services Division throughout Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who takes pride in delivering exceptional service, solving complex HVAC challenges, and building strong customer relationships.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the installation, startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and service of commercial HVAC and building automation-related systems. The majority of your time will be spent in the field, ensuring equipment operates efficiently and customers receive best-in-class service.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting of HVAC controls and related equipment.


• Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC systems and components.


• Verify proper operation and performance of newly installed systems.


• Conduct system testing and performance evaluations, including airflow, superheat, subcooling, and overall equipment operation.


• Replace and repair HVAC components including motors, compressors, coils, heat exchangers, and related equipment.


• Maintain a strong commitment to safety and compliance with NFPA 70E standards.


• Deliver professional, timely, and high-quality service to customers.


• Effectively communicate system findings, recommendations, and project updates with customers and team members.


• Ensure customer satisfaction through responsive service and technical expertise.


• Complete service documentation and reporting accurately and on time.

Qualifications

• Registered Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician License (State of Texas)


• EPA Universal 608 Certification


• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic experience with commercial HVAC systems


• Working knowledge of:


• Superheat and subcooling calculations


• Airflow measurement and system balancing concepts


• HVAC electrical and mechanical systems


• Experience replacing and repairing:


• Compressors


• Motors


• Coils


• Related HVAC components


• Strong communication and customer service skills


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must possess basic HVAC service tools and gauges

Preferred

• Graduate of an HVAC Trade School Program


• Experience with controls, automation, or commissioning activities


• Commercial service experience in large facilities or mission-critical environments
