Job summary

Schwickert’s Tecta America is seeking motivated HVAC-R Service Technicians to join our team in Minnesota. This role involves troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of commercial HVAC-R systems.

Starting pay ranges from $25-$42+ per hour based on experience, with eligibility for up to a $1,000 sign-on bonus. Candidates must meet license/certification requirements and be able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License is required or expected.
• Technical school degree desired; or equivalent education/experience.
• 3+ years of experience preferred.
• EPA certification required or exam within 1 month of start date.
• NATE certification or similar and related HVAC experience desired.
• Ability to work at heights and lift 50+ lbs.
• On-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC-R systems.
• Start-up of installed commercial HVAC-R systems.
• Perform regular maintenance on commercial HVAC units.
• Ensure compliance with HVAC codes and safety standards.
• On-call duties as required.
• Additional duties as assigned.

This position involves performing HVAC-R system troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair work on commercial HVAC-R systems.

Job Details

Starting pay ranges from $25-$42+ per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Successful candidates will be eligible for up to a $1,000 sign‑on bonus!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• HVAC‑R system troubleshooting and repair of units.
• Start‑up of installed commercial HVAC‑R systems.
• Perform regular maintenance and servicing of commercial HVAC units.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable HVAC codes and maintain a safe work environment.
• On Call duties as required.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Technical school degree desired; or equivalent combination of education and experience but not required.
• 3 years + experience preferred.
• Ability to learn and take direction from supervisors.
• Must be EPA certified or willing to take the EPA exam within a month of starting date.
• NATE certification or similar, DDC/Pneumatic control experience, boilers license, and refrigeration background is desired but not required.
• Ability to work at heights and varying temperatures.
• Lift 50+ lbs.
• Sit, stand, climb stairs and ladders.
• On the job training is provided.
