Commercial HVAC-R Service Technician

Position Summary:

Schwickert’s Tecta America is seeking motivated individuals to join our team. Our HVAC-R Service Technicians are individuals who are skilled and wanting to grow within their career. This position involves performing HVAC-R system troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair work on commercial HVAC‑R systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• HVAC-R system troubleshooting and repair of units.
• Start‑up of installed commercial HVAC-R systems.
• Perform regular maintenance and servicing of commercial HVAC units.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable HVAC codes and maintain a safe work environment.
• On Call duties as required.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Technical school degree desired; or equivalent combination of education and experience but not required.
• 3 years + experience preferred.
• Ability to learn and take direction from supervisors.
• Must be EPA certified or willing to take the EPA exam within a month of starting date.
• NATE certification or similar, DDC/Pneumatic control experience, boilers license, and refrigeration background is desired but not required.
• Ability to work at heights and varying temperatures.
• Lift 50+ lbs.
• Sit, stand, climb stairs and ladders.
• On the job training is provided.
• Starting pay ranges from $25-$42+ per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
