Job summary

Schwickert’s Tecta America is seeking skilled Commercial HVAC-R Service Technicians to troubleshoot, maintain and repair commercial HVAC-R systems. You’ll join a hands-on team with on-the-job training, advancement potential, and a company that invests in its people.

Successful candidates can earn up to a $1,000 sign-on bonus and participate in a dynamic on-call rotation. A technical school degree is preferred but not required, and a valid driver’s license is necessary.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HVAC-R experience is required.
• EPA certification or willingness to obtain within the first month.
• NATE certification or related refrigeration background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC-R systems.
• Start-up of installed systems.
• Perform regular maintenance and preventative services.
• Ensure compliance with HVAC codes and safety standards.
• Participate in on-call rotation as needed.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC-R systems.


• Perform start-up of installed systems.


• Conduct regular maintenance and preventative services.


• Ensure compliance with HVAC codes and company safety standards.


• Participate in on-call rotation as needed.


• Assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.

• NATE certification, DDC/Pneumatic controls, boiler license, or refrigeration background a plus.


• Ability to work safely at heights and in varying temperatures.


• Capable of lifting 50+ lbs, climbing stairs and ladders, and performing physical tasks.


• Strong willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors.

Pay Range

$30-$45+ per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Physical Demands

This role requires regular use of hands, talking, hearing, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, and kneeling. Must be able to frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
