Job summary

Schwickert’s Tecta America is seeking motivated individuals to join our HVAC-R service/install team in Minnesota. This role involves troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of commercial HVAC-R systems while sharing knowledge with other technicians.

Starting pay ranges from $30-$47+ per hour, based on experience, with a $1,000 sign-on bonus for successful candidates. A valid driver's license and EPA certification are required or obtainable soon after starting.

Qualifications

• Technical school degree is desired, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• EPA certification required or willing to take exam within a month of starting date.
• NATE certification or similar is desired but not required.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• 3-5+ years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• HVAC-R system troubleshooting and repair of units.
• Installation of commercial HVAC-R systems, ductwork, specialty equipment and start up.
• Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of commercial HVAC units.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable HVAC codes and maintain a safe work environment.
• On Call duties as required.
• Additional duties as assigned.

This position involves performing HVAC‑R system troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair work on commercial HVAC‑R systems while providing insight and training to other technicians.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• HVAC‑R system troubleshooting and repair of units.
• Installation of commercial HVAC‑R systems, ductwork, specialty equipment and start up.
• Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of commercial HVAC units
• Ensure compliance with all applicable HVAC codes and maintain a safe work environment.
• On Call duties as required.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Technical school degree desired; or equivalent combination of education and experience but not required.
• 3-5+ years experience preferred.
• Ability to learn and take direction from crew foreman.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must be EPA certified or willing to take the EPA exam within a month of starting date.
• NATE certification or similar, DDC/Pneumatic control experience, boilers license, and refrigeration background is desired but not required.
• No fear of heights.
• Lift 50+ lbs.
• Sit, stand, and climb stairs.
