Job summary

Smart Air Systems in Deerfield Beach, FL is seeking a Project Manager — Commercial HVAC to oversee retrofit projects, schedules, equipment and materials, and to serve as the liaison among customers, subcontractors, vendors, and sales staff.

You will lead pre-construction (“premortems”) and post-construction (“postmortems”) meetings, review submittals, manage RFIs and change orders, and drive on-time delivery with a focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail are required.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and manage schedules.
• Background check and drug screening must be passed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support Sales Managers across multiple job sites with scheduling and follow-up.
• Manage GC projects through site visits, coordination, and oversight.
• Lead premortem meetings to review plans, materials, manpower, and logistics.
• Facilitate postmortem meetings to evaluate performance and improvements.
• Coordinate quarterly/annual performance feedback for retrofit techs and reviews.
• Prepare bids and proposals for General Contract projects.
• Review submittals and manage RFIs, change orders, permits, and procurement.
• Assist project administrators with customer communication and billing support.
• Attend weekly operations meetings and safety/workers’ compensation meetings.
• Build trusted relationships with internal and external teams and find creative solutions.
