Jobot is seeking a Project Engineer in Alameda, CA to support project management for HVAC/plumbing construction. This full-time role reports to PMs and Executives and focuses on scheduling, coordination, and on-time, on-budget project delivery. Salary range is $95,000–$120,000 per year DOE, commensurate with experience.

You will assist with bid preparation, submittals, handoffs, and cross‑functional collaboration with estimating, field, and engineering teams to meet profit and growth objectives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in construction management or related role, HVAC/plumbing exposure preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC/plumbing systems, building products, codes, and standards.
• Familiarity with construction management software and strong computer skills.
• Strong planning, time management and problem-solving abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field (Preferred).

The Project Engineer is an early‑career, full‑time role responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing project management activities to help meet company profit and growth objectives. You will support Project Managers and Project Executives to ensure assigned HVAC/plumbing construction projects progress and complete on schedule, within budget, and to specification.

Key duties include developing and maintaining project schedules, monitoring planned vs. actual performance, preparing and tracking submittals, coordinating pre‑construction handoffs with field and estimating teams, and contributing to business development, estimating, bidding, and project negotiations as required.
