Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Project Manager with HVAC expertise to lead commercial and industrial piping projects in the San Jose area. You will drive safety, quality, on-time delivery and budget compliance across multiple projects, coordinating with field teams, subcontractors and clients to exceed expectations.

The role requires 3+ years of HVAC project management, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and strong negotiation and scheduling skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred or relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager in the HVAC industry.
  • Knowledge of commercial/industrial HVAC sheet metal, mechanical, refrigerant piping, and hydronic piping.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee HVAC projects from initiation to completion.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to meet requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts effectively with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Develop and manage project schedules with meeting deadlines.
  • Ensure work aligns with company standards and client requirements.
  • Oversee installation of HVAC systems, plumbing, and piping.
  • Manage construction management processes safely and efficiently.
  • Communicate progress to team members and clients.
  • Identify and mitigate potential cost overruns to keep within budget.

Job Details

Project Manager will lead HVAC, plumbing, architectural sheet metal, and process piping construction projects across commercial and industrial process environments in San Jose. This role oversees projects from preconstruction to closeout, collaborating with field teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure safe, high‑quality, on‑time, and on‑budget delivery.

You’ll manage multiple projects, drive financial performance, support forecasting, and contribute to a collaborative culture while working across Design Build, Plan & Specification, Design Assist, and IPD delivery models.

Responsibilities:
  • 1. Manage and oversee all aspects of HVAC projects from initiation to completion.
  • 2. Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • 3. Negotiate contracts effectively with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • 4. Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring that deadlines are met.
  • 5. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • 6. Manage the installation of HVAC systems, commercial plumbing, and mechanical and industrial piping.
  • 7. Oversee the construction management process, ensuring that all work is carried out safely and efficiently.
  • 8. Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress.
  • 9. Resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the project, ensuring minimal disruption to work.
  • 10. Ensure all projects are completed within budget, identifying any potential cost overruns and taking steps to prevent them.
Qualifications:
  • 1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred or relevant experience.
  • 2. Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager in the HVAC industry.
