Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Commercial HVAC Journeyman Service Technician to inspect and maintain HVAC systems, diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions, and install, replace, and calibrate equipment. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and collaboration with management.

The position requires 5+ years in HVAC, EPA Universal Certification, physical stamina, a valid driver's license, and willingness to work on rooftops. Company-provided vehicle and tools are included.

Qualifications

• 5+ years practical HVAC experience.
• Push/Pull/Lift 50lbs capability.
• EPA Universal Certification.
• Ability to stand, crawl, sit, squat for extended periods, climb ladders, and work on rooftops.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Valid driver's license and be insurable by the company's carrier.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain HVAC systems for efficient operation.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions.
• Install, replace, and calibrate HVAC equipment and thermostats.
• Maintain chilled and hot water supply and adjust controls.
• Service rooftop units, gas packs, heat pumps, split systems and related controls.
• Assemble and install metal ductwork and assist in system design.
• Ensure compliance with City, State, and EPA by maintaining detailed maintenance records.
• Identify and mitigate risks to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with management to support safety and operational standards.
