Mesa Energy Systems, Inc. in Fresno, CA is seeking a skilled HVAC/Refrigeration Technician with 5+ years of field experience to join our full-service contractor team.

You will install, inspect, maintain, and repair chiller, HVAC, and refrigeration equipment, ensuring safe operation and compliance with industry standards. Expect hands-on preventive maintenance, routine inspections, and fault diagnosis using the latest tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field experience as Licensed Journeyman in HVAC.
• EPA Certification (608) Universal License is required.
• Commercial experience as an HVAC and Refrigeration Technician.
• Knowledge of safe operation of hand tools, equipment and testing devices.
• Participation in ongoing training to stay updated on equipment and software.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair lighting heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as vacuuming, cleaning, changing filters and oiling parts.
• Carry out routine maintenance and inspections on HVAC systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Knowledge of chiller systems, refrigeration, heat pump, and HVAC equipment
• Responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioningsystems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on the equipment such as vacuuming, cleaning, changing filters, and oiling parts.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HVACsystems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVACsystems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field experience as Licensed Journeyman in HVAC
• Must have an EPA Certification (608) Universal License
• Commercial experience as a HVAC and Refrigeration Technician
• Knowledge and experience in the proper use and safe operation of hand tools, equipment, and testing devices necessary to perform all work assignments.
• Participates in the ongoing training available to our crews to keep updated on the newest equipment and latest software for HVAC equipment.
• Strong oral and written communication required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and perform duties with minimal supervision in isolated areas.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Valid Driver’s license and able to maintain a good driving record.

Geographic Disclosure

Compensation Range: $43.97 - $48.85 per hour The hourly rate is determined by the CBA/rate sheet and test results. Benefits are provided through local labor union aligned with collective bargaining agreement.
