Job summary

EMCOR Group, Inc. in San Leandro, CA is seeking a Skilled HVAC Technician responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and read blueprints to support mechanical projects in a full-service HVAC environment. Qualified candidates have 5+ years as a Licensed Journeyman HVAC, EPA Certification (608) Universal, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field experience as Licensed Journeyman in HVAC.
• Must have an EPA Certification (608) Universal.
• Commercial experience as a HVAC and Refrigeration Technician.
• Knowledge and proper use of hand tools, equipment, and testing devices.
• Participates in ongoing training to stay updated on equipment and latest software for HVAC.
• Strong oral and written communication.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Valid Driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of chiller systems, refrigeration, heat pump, and HVAC equipment.
• Installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Knowledge of chiller systems, refrigeration, heat pump, and HVAC equipment
• Responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioningsystems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on the equipment such as vacuuming, cleaning, changing filters, and oiling parts.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HVACsystems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVACsystems.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and perform duties with minimal supervision in isolated areas.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Valid Driver's license and able to maintain a good driving record.

Compensation Range: $21.25 - $64.37 per hour The hourly rate is determined by the CBA/rate sheet and test results. Benefits are provided through local labor union aligned with collective bargaining agreement.
