Job summary

Carrier, a global leader in climate and energy solutions, seeks a Commercial HVAC Apprentice Technician to perform hands-on fieldwork across our Texas sites. You’ll inspect, diagnose, repair, and calibrate a range of HVAC and refrigeration systems while gaining world-class training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• 1+ year of HVAC/R experience or education.
• Valid driver's license and insurability.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions.
• Install, replace and calibrate equipment including thermostats.
• Service refrigeration equipment such as refrigerators and heat pumps.
• Maintain water systems and control systems.
• Assemble and install ductwork; assist in system design.
• Follow City/State/EPA regulations and keep maintenance records.
• Identify and mitigate risks to maintain safety.
