Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions.
• Install, replace and calibrate equipment including thermostats.
• Service refrigeration equipment such as refrigerators and heat pumps.
• Maintain water systems and control systems.
• Assemble and install ductwork; assist in system design.
• Follow City/State/EPA regulations and keep maintenance records.
• Identify and mitigate risks to maintain safety.

About This Role

• We support data center locations both north and south of Waco, TX, and are targeting candidates based between Dallas and Austin. Waco is the ideal location due to its convenient access to both sites; however, we are open to candidates who are willing to commute daily from Dallas or Austin.**

What You’ll Do

As a Commercial HVAC Apprentice Technician, you understand the importance of providing expert and quality service. We are looking for an individual who has:

• Inspect and maintain air‑conditioning and HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical malfunctions in heating and cooling units
• Install, replace, and calibrate HVAC equipment, including thermostatic controls and liquid lines
• Service refrigeration equipment including refrigerators, ice machines, gas packs, and heat pumps
• Maintain chilled and hot water supply systems and adjust internal control systems
• Assemble and install metal ductwork and assist in HVAC system planning and design
• Ensure compliance with City, State, and EPA regulations by maintaining detailed maintenance records
• Identify and mitigate risks to maintain a safe working environment
• Collaborate with management to support safety and operational standards

Required Qualifications

As a Commercial HVAC Apprentice Service Technician, you understand the importance of providing expert service and quality. We are looking for an individual who has:

• Ability to Push / Pull / Lift 50lbs
• Must be able to stand, crawl, sit, squat of extended periods of time, climb a ladder, and the ability to work on rooftop
• High School Diploma/GED
• EPA Universal Certification
• 1+ year of practical experience or education in HVAC/R
• Possess and maintain valid and current Driver’s License and be insurable by the company’s insurance carrier

Preferred Qualifications

Other experience and qualities you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:

• Basic understanding of building automation controls
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience using Salesforce and ServiceMax is a plus

Pay Range

The hourly rate for this position is between $15.00-$30.00 per hour. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
