About This Role

As an Apprentice with Carrier, you will impact our customers by ensuring their comfort and representing our confidence in our services. You will learn about Commercial HVAC and participate in various installation, repair, and maintenance projects. This role offers opportunities to work collaboratively and independently, ideal for someone passionate about their trade and eager to enhance their skills.

Carrier values its partnerships with Union workers, offering paid travel time and an on-call schedule that promotes work-life balance, with rotations every 7-8 weeks in most locations.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• 3+ years of practical HVAC industry experience
• Ability to enter or be enrolled in the Union Apprentice Program
• Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs, climb ladders, and work on rooftops
• Capacity to stand, crawl, sit, and squat for extended periods
• Valid Driver’s License and insurability

Essential Tasks

• Inspect and maintain air-conditioning units
• Perform scheduled maintenance on heating and cooling systems
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
• Install, repair, and replace HVAC equipment and controls
• Inspect and service refrigeration and water systems
• Maintain electrical and electronic controls
• Assemble and install ductwork
• Assist in planning new HVAC installations
• Maintain compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Identify and mitigate safety risks
• Collaborate with management to ensure a safe work environment

Compensation

Pay Range: $33.17 - $55.77 per hour
