Role Overview

As an Apprentice, you will impact our customers by ensuring their comfort through installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems. You'll work with a team and independently, gaining valuable skills and experience. Carrier supports union partnerships, provides paid travel time, and maintains a balanced on-call schedule.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• 3+ years of practical HVAC experience
• Ability to join or be enrolled in the Union Apprentice Program
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work on rooftops
• Valid driver’s license and insurability

Primary Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain HVAC units
• Diagnose malfunctions
• Install, repair, and calibrate HVAC systems and components
• Maintain refrigeration and water systems
• Work safely, recognizing hazards and collaborating on safety measures

Knowledge and Skills

• HVAC maintenance, repair, safety practices
• HVAC controls, electrical systems, sheet metal, plumbing, carpentry
• Basic building automation controls

Compensation

Pay Range: $33.17 - $55.77 per hour
