Job summary

Southwest Drywall is seeking a full-time drywall installer for on-site work in Tulsa, OK. The role involves measuring, cutting, and installing metal studs, gypsum, plywood sheathing, and drywall to framing.

You will follow Foreman instructions, meet daily production goals, and maintain a safe, organized work area. Candidates should have general construction experience, be able to perform physically demanding tasks, and follow OSHA safety policies.

Qualifications

• General construction experience preferred.
• Must follow all safety policies and procedures (OSHA).
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather.
• Ability to follow Foreman and Leadman instructions and cooperate with others.
• Urgent work style with focus on productivity.

Responsibilities

• Report to work on time with the proper tools.
• Follow safety and building requirements at each job site.
• Coordinate sequence of work with Leadman and Foreman.
• Measure, cut and distribute materials used on jobsites.
• Install interior and exterior metal studs to frame walls, ceilings and soffits.
• Install gypsum and plywood sheathing to exterior framing and drywall to interior framing.
• Move or secure leftover materials and cleanup the area.
• Meet daily production goals set by Foreman and Production Manager.
• Train to obtain operator cards for required equipment.
• Be adaptable to changes in responsibilities and show a positive attitude.

Skills And Experience Requirements

• General construction experience preferred but not required
• Required to follow all safety policies and procedures of SW Drywall and OSHA
• Ability to perform physical tasks (i.e. climb ladders, work from lifts, bending, kneeling, twisting etc.) in a variety of weather conditions
• Ability to follow instructions of Foreman and willing to cooperate with Leadman, co-workers, and General Contractor
• Urgent work style that understands productivity is important to work tasks
• High attention to detail and willingness to improve and learn new skills
• Set a good example by being respectful to others and by keeping a clean, neat, and organized work area
