Job summary

gpac, on behalf of its client, a respected and growing commercial flooring contractor in Los Angeles, seeks an experienced Project Manager / Estimator to lead bids and manage projects from award through closeout.

The ideal candidate is detail oriented, organized, and able to coordinate plans, takeoffs, vendors, and crew while building strong relationships with customers and partners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial flooring estimating and/or project management experience.
• Strong understanding of commercial flooring products, installation methods, specifications, and construction practices.
• Experience reviewing architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Ability to perform accurate quantity takeoffs and prepare competitive project estimates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial flooring projects.
• Review plans, specifications, addenda, and bid documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and solicit pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
• Manage awarded projects from turnover through closeout.
• Coordinate material procurement, scheduling, labor, and subcontractors.
• Maintain project budgets, schedules, and documentation.
• Work closely with general contractors, owners, architects, installers, and suppliers to ensure successful project execution.
• Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, closeout documents, and project billing.
• Proactively identify and resolve project challenges while maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Collaborate with sales and operations to ensure a seamless transition from estimating to project execution.
