Job summary

Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages LLC seeks a Commercial Finance Specialist to manage the General Ledger closing process for AR, Contracts, and Direct Marketing Expense, ensuring internal controls and reporting accuracy.

Responsibilities include journal entries, reconciliations, and cross-functional coordination with SSC, HQ Finance, and Market Units to finalize month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three to five years of related business experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Preferred soft drink industry or consumer packaged goods experience.
• Preferred experience in preparing financial information for use by non-financial managers.

• Close monthly, quarterly and year-end processes for AR, Contracts and DME.
• Coordinate with SSC, HQ Finance and Market Unit Finance on closes and related activities.
• Prepare and review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage reporting for AR, Contracts, DME, and Transshipping; respond to inquiries.

General Purpose

The Commercial Finance Specialist is responsible for Managing the General Ledger Closing process for AR, Contracts and Direct Marketing Expense (DME) adhering to Internal Controls. Adhere to ARCA's Cultural Principles. Provide reporting for AR, Contracts, Transshipment and DME. Accountable for reviewing and providing guidance to sales leaders in CCSWB while providing local/FSOP outlet A/R support, researching seriously past due accounts, and coordinating meetings with BSNA.

Duties and Responsibilities

Month, Quarter and year end close Responsibilities

• Responsible for the closing process related to AR, Contracts and DME
• Collaborate with SSC, HQ Finance team, and Market Unit Finance team around month end close, quarter-end, year-end close and other activities
• Prepare and review Journal entries
• Prepare and Review Balance Sheet reconciliations

Financial subject matter expert duties

• Contracts

  • Manage reporting for NSF, Sales Center Chargebacks, Dunning Log, Status Change Log, Kroger Weekly report and Deduction reporting
  • Resolve and respond to internal AR mailbox inquiries
  • Routinely identify seriously past due local/FSOP accounts with no current sales, identify if accounts have equipment, and follow up with local teams and BSNA
  • Facilitate meetings BSNA, MUFM, and local/FSOP teams to understand seriously past due issues and provide recommendations
