Job summary

EverStaff is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in managing plaintiff cases through all stages of the litigation process in Phoenix, AZ.   • 3+ years of personal injury litigation paralegal experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting attorneys in state court litigation.
  • ABA-approved paralegal certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with all phases of personal injury litigation from filing through resolution.
  • Draft, prepare, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, notices, and settlement documents.
  • Manage litigation calendars, court deadlines, hearing dates, deposition schedules, and trial dates.
  • Organize medical records, billing records, insurance information, and other case documents.
  • Coordinate discovery, depositions, mediations, and expert witness consultations.
  • Communicate with clients regarding case status and document requests.
  • Prepare case summaries, medical chronologies, and damage analyses.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in the management of plaintiff personal injury cases throughout the litigation process. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage multiple cases and deadlines. The ideal candidate will have experience handling personal injury matters, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, wrongful death, and other negligence claims.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys with all phases of personal injury litigation from filing through resolution.
  • Draft, prepare, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, notices, and settlement documents.
  • Manage and maintain litigation calendars, court deadlines, hearing dates, deposition schedules, and trial dates.
  • Obtain, review, organize, and summarize medical records, billing records, insurance information, and other case-related documents.
  • Coordinate discovery, including document collection, production, and responses.
  • Schedule and coordinate depositions, mediations, independent medical examinations, and expert witness consultations.
  • Communicate with clients regarding case status, treatment updates, and document requests.
  • Prepare case summaries, medical chronologies, damage analyses, and settlement demand packages.
  • Conduct factual investigations and assist with locating witnesses and gathering evidence.
  • Coordinate with medical providers, insurance adjusters, expert witnesses, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, witness lists, jury instructions, and other trial materials.
  • File documents electronically through state and federal court systems.
  • Monitor case progress and ensure compliance with court rules and procedural deadlines.
  • Maintain confidential client information and comply with ethical and legal standards.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate preferred.
  • 3+ years of personal injury litigation paralegal experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting attorneys in state court litigation.
  • Trial preparation and courtroom support experience preferred.
  • Experience working with medical records and personal injury damages documentation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong understanding of personal injury law, civil litigation procedures, and court rules.
  • Experience managing high-volume litigation caseloads.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Familiarity with case management software and electronic filing systems.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Strong client service and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Paralegal (CP), Advanced Certified Paralegal (ACP), or similar professional certification.
  • Experience in plaintiff personal injury litigation.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and treatment documentation.
  • Familiarity with settlement negotiations, liens, and case resolution processes.
Compensation and Benefits
