Job summary

CKF is seeking a Commercial Estimator to perform material take-offs and develop project estimates for general commercial projects. The role focuses on reviewing blueprints, pricing materials, and placing orders while maintaining accurate quotes in the company system.

The ideal candidate will read construction plans, prepare cost analyses, and work with project managers for smooth project handoffs. A strong attention to detail and CAD/Bluebeam experience are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong reading of blueprints and construction plans.
• Experience with cost estimating and take-offs for commercial projects.
• Proficient in CAD/Bluebeam and MS Office.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Complete full-cycle bidding for commercial projects from blueprints to quotes and orders.
• Prepare cost analyses including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.
• Enter quotes into internal tracking system and provide submittals/shop drawings as needed.
• Coordinate with project managers for handoffs and ensure accuracy of quotes.

We are a culture committed to providing the highest level of customer service as well as a great environment for our employees to work.As a company, we are committed to providing top brand name products at competitive prices with an experienced, knowledgeable sales and support staff.The Commercial Estimator is responsible for doing material take-offs to develop project estimates from blueprints or other drawings provided for general commercial projects.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Complete full-cycle bidding process for commercial projects, including reviewing blueprints, creating quotes, pricing material, and placing orders.Prepares cost analysis in computer by recapitulating material, labor, equipment, subcontractor and overhead costs incurred in the installation of items.Informs the immediate supervisor of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in quoted items or computer database.Develops and maintains resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc.Enter and maintain all quotes in company’s internal tracking system.Provides submittals and shop drawings as needed using CAD.Works with project manager to coordinate project handoffs.Performs other tasks as assigned.Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment.
