Job summary

MPI in Indianapolis is seeking an Estimator to own the full estimating process from conceptual budgeting to hard bid on diverse commercial projects. You will partner with architects and design teams to provide real-time budgeting, cost analysis, and constructability input, and drive procurement with subcontractors and suppliers.

You will lead estimate reviews, build cost histories, and help advance estimating technology and workflows while growing the Indianapolis operation and assuming greater

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial GC estimating experience.
• Strong understanding of preconstruction, estimating, and commercial construction.
• Ability to collaborate with PMs, field teams, design partners, and senior leadership.
• Proficient with industry-standard estimating software and construction technology.
• Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
• Client-facing mindset with a focus on quality and relationships.
• Driven to grow the Indianapolis operation and assume leadership responsibilities long-term.

Responsibilities

• Own estimates from conceptual budgeting through hard bid, including takeoffs, pricing, bid leveling, scope review, and final submission.
• Partner with architects and design teams for budgeting, cost analysis, and constructability input.
• Drive subcontractor and supplier procurement by soliciting and analyzing bids.
• Build and maintain cost histories, estimating databases, assemblies, and market intelligence.
• Advance estimating technology and processes, improving software utilization and workflows.
• Lead estimate reviews with design, construction, and project teams.
• Serve as a preconstruction partner delivering pricing, value-engineering, and detailed estimates.
