Job summary

Old Republic Title is seeking a Commercial Escrow Officer to lead closing of commercial transactions, including single-site and multi-site deals, and oversee escrow activities from opening to post-closing. The role focuses on accuracy, regulatory compliance and superior service to clients.

Responsibilities include preparing settlement statements, coordinating with underwriting and staff, supervising escrow assistants, and ensuring timely funding and documentation while maintaining strong client

Qualifications

• Proven Commercial Escrow Closing experience required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Closing of commercial transactions including but not limited to preparation of settlement statements, review of escrow instructions, adhering to local closing customs, initiating wires and approving wires as needed, recording documents, trial balance maintenance.
• Responsible for oversight of escrow assistant(s)
• Support Title and Escrow Administrator as needed
• Work with underwriting staff and Escrow Administrator on closing and post-closing functions
• Coordinate local recordings
• Manage post-closing escrows
• Transaction accounting
• Ability to work from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
• Ability to supervise assistants and support staff, as necessary
• Ability to prioritize, organize and handle multiple site projects and portfolios
• Be responsible for the management of revenue
• Must be personable, positive and a professional representative of the Company
• Regular consistent attendance is required
• Ability to accept supervision
• Ability to foster, develop and maintain professional and collaborative working relationships. Must be able to get along and interact with others, i.e., peers, supervisors, outside customers, and vendors, by email, phone and in person
• Ability to work overtime as requested and approved by supervisor.
