Job summary

Santee Cooper in Myrtle Beach, SC seeks an Engineer I–Senior to support commercial energy efficiency programs and data-driven project work. You will analyze data on HVAC, lighting, and building performance to inform program delivery under supervision.

Responsibilities include site inspections, technical support, energy assessments and audits, and collaboration with DSM programs. A Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering is required; FE/PE preferred for higher levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an EAC/BET accredited university or college.
• Familiarity with commercial systems (HVAC, lighting, refrigeration) and building envelope preferred.
• Proficiency in data analysis, including preparing and interpreting large datasets to derive actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing energy efficiency programs for commercial customers.
• Inspect customer locations before/after projects to ensure program integrity.
• Provide technical support related to energy efficiency projects.
• Accompany others in meetings with commercial customers.
• Support energy services like energy assessments, audits, rate analyses and billing estimates.
