Job summary

CGL is seeking an Electrician to perform preventive and corrective electrical maintenance for our client sites across the United States, with responsibilities that may include light installations. The role emphasizes strong safety practices and adherence to applicable codes.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of construction or maintenance experience in commercial environments, a valid state electrician license, and the ability to read electrical diagrams and blueprints.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years construction or maintenance experience in commercial environments.

Responsibilities

• Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits and equipment, including high voltage and AC/DC circuits.
• Inspect and maintain electrical equipment, lighting, signaling, communications, and power circuits.
• Isolate defects using testing instruments on wiring, switches, motors, and electrical gear.
• Repair and replace faulty switches, sockets, and components; fabricate control panels as needed.
• Dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective parts.
• Maintain emergency generators and high voltage switchgear.
• Perform work per safety procedures and local codes.
• Ensure documentation compliant with CMMS; mentor and train fellow technicians.
• Travel to job sites using company vehicle or personal/rental vehicle as needed.
