Job summary

Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is hiring Commercial Journeyman Electricians to support new construction and tenant improvements across Southern California.

You will install conduits, wire and assemble electrical systems, read blueprints, and coordinate with foremen to meet project schedules while adhering to safety procedures. Qualifications

• Four years of recent and relevant experience in commercial construction.
• Ability to commute to various jobsites throughout Southern California.
• Availability to work third shifts or overnight schedules as needed.
• Ability to perform physical work (lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, walking, squatting, and climbing stairs).
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights (including lifts), and in inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Install, bend, route, and secure conduit and cabling (EMT, PVC, RMC, flexible conduit, MC cable, CAT5/6) per project specs.
• Install wiring, raceways, junction boxes, receptacles, switches, lighting, and related commercial components per codes.
• Pull, identify, and terminate conductors in panels, switchgear, transformers, and distribution systems.
• Install, wire, and troubleshoot control panels, motor controls, and related components.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and quality control tests.
• Install refrigeration motor control wiring (experience preferred).
• Wire Ansul fire suppression systems (experience preferred).
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and panel schedules for installation.
• Coordinate with foremen and other trades to meet project schedules.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain clean work areas.
• Perform additional jobsite duties as assigned.

Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is a trusted regional provider of skilled trade services specializing in commercial new construction, tenant improvements, and electrical services. We are currently seeking Commercial Journeyman Electricians to support new construction and tenant improvement projects at various stages of construction throughout Southern California.

Schedule

• Flexibility to work varying schedules is required. The most common schedule is Sunday through Thursday on the night shift, from 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
• Travel assignments available; include travel time and per diem
• Overtime available but not guaranteed

Responsibilities

• Install, bend, route, and secure conduit and cabling, including EMT, PVC, RMC, flexible conduit, MC cable, and CAT5/6 cabling, as specified for each project
• Install wiring, raceways, junction boxes, receptacles, switches, lighting fixtures, and related commercial electrical components in accordance with project specifications and applicable electrical codes
• Pull, identify, and terminate conductors in panels, switchgear, transformers, distribution systems, and control equipment
• Install, wire, and troubleshoot control panels, motor controls, and related electrical components
• Troubleshoot electrical installation issues, malfunctions, and quality control test
• Install refrigeration motor control wiring, as applicable; experience preferred
• Properly wire-up Ansul fire suppression systems; experience preferred
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, panel schedules, and construction drawings to determine installation requirements
• Coordinate with foremen and other trades to complete work efficiently and meet project schedules
• Follow company safety procedures and maintain clean, organized work areas
• Perform additional jobsite duties as assigned by the foreman

• Ability to commute to various jobsites throughout Southern California
• Availability to work third shifts or overnight schedules as needed

• Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights (including lifts), and in inclement weather
